Dear Listers,
        I don't mean to be a whiner, but I (and probably most others who
receive the list in digest form) would truly appreciate it if the
quoting of the message being replied to could be kept to a few germane
points to help people follow the train of thought, instead of
automatically quoting the entire thread. What can be an interesting
discussion of museum issues can quickly degrade into a slog through a
mass of text already seen four times with no choice but to scroll
through it to get to the next subject. Sadly, digest format doesn't
allow the deletion of a particular message. Thanks for your
consideration.
