Friends: Enough already!

Some of the most effective fundraisers are the ones ready to jump-start
their careers at the salary offered by the maritime museum in rural
Wisconsin. They plan to be successful and move on.

Smaller non-profit museums are lucky to be able to employ a fundraiser to
begin with. Even smaller museums may pay their Executive Directors at that
level or a bit higher or lower. This has nothing to do with cost of living,
but the funds available to run the institutions. The people who have these
positions are often much happier in their environments than their
higher-paid urban and government counterparts.

My two cents.
