The Tech Museum of Innovation
Technology Learning Manager
Full Time Position Available

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future.  Join
a dynamic, creative team operating one of America’s premiere science and
technology museums.

The Tech is launching a new Technology Learning Manager position through
the Robert N. Noyce Center for Learning.  The Center for Learning is
developing programs and learning opportunities for educators with the goal
of improving science education and the effective use of technology in
regional classrooms.  The Technology Learning Manager will be responsible
for all education programs that contribute to improved teaching and
learning through the effective use of technology.  The position will report
to the Executive Director of the Center for Learning/Vice President of
Education.

Responsibilities:
-Provide vision and leadership in the cutting edge uses of various
technologies to improve teaching and learning in schools and at The Tech.
-Design and deliver training programs in the use of technology to improve
teaching and learning
Associate with appropriate professional organizations and be a source of
information for educators and Tech staff.
-Partner with other organizations, educational institutions, and reform
efforts to maximize The Tech’s resources.
-Manage technology projects, such as distance learning, Wired for Learning,
and Tech Topics.
-Contribute to the development of training materials for teachers.
-Engage industry experts and scientists in support of science and
technology education.
-Work as a team member with Center for Learning staff to refine and execute
the Center’s vision, mission, strategy, and implementation plans.
-Work as museum's floor staff on assigned week days, weekend days and
holidays (approximately one day per month and one holiday per year).

Requirements:
-Recognized leader in the use of technology to improve teaching and learning
-Exemplary technological skills with all types of technology, with
abilities to set up equipment and trouble shoot problems
-Appropriate education and related advanced degree
-Proven ability to manage both short and long-range projects, within
specific schedules and budgets
-Demonstrated commitment to excellence in education
-Proven ability to teach and support adult learners
-Flexibility to work in an informal education setting in a start-up phase
-Outstanding written and presentation skills
