Dear discussion list participants...

I have a 3.5 inch wood carving (knoll of a native wild rose) of a cherub or angel's face said to be from the 11th or 12th century AD.  It is a prototype made of the stone carvings outside a red sandstone church of the Franciscan Monks at the Monastery of Neviges in the southwestern
part of Germany.  Any assistance in finding out more information about this piece would be appreciated.  Thank you!
