Dear Sir/Madam,

We are happy to inform you that the new official web site of the Novgorod
State United Museum is opened on the web (www.novgorod-museum.ru)

Veliky Novgorod is the oldest Russian city - the capital of the first
Russian democratic republic. A large number of historical monuments of old
Russian architecture from the 9th-17th centuries and old cultural traditions
attract there numerous tourists. Interest in the city increases when people
learn that some of the old cathedrals in Novgorod are on the UNESCO World
Heritage list . People who love history can visit the Novgorodian Kremlin
(1044), St. Sophia Cathedral (1045-1055), (1045-1055), and Yuriev Monastery.
They can see the famous collection of Novgorodian icons, the Millennium of
Russia Monument.
     You can find all masterpieces of the city, information for planning
your visit, and news about special exhibitions and other cultural events on
the new site just signed up to the search engines.
      Funding for this web site was provided by the Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs at the United States with development assistance from
the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, USA. General Contractor of the
