The Fairfield Museum and History Center (FMHC) seeks an energetic individual to provide dynamic 
leadership in the areas of museum administration, marketing, retail management and program 
development.  A project of the Fairfield Historical Society, located in Fairfield, CT, the FMHC is a 
vibrant library, history museum, and learning center now under construction on the historic Town 
Green. The Director of Operations is the museum’s chief operational officer and works closely with 
the Executive Director to improve business efficiency, manage special events, expand community 
programs, manage the museum store and direct marketing and PR initiatives.  Successful 
candidates will have demonstrated skills in financial and retail management, development, 
marketing and program development, excellent communication and computer skills, along with 
two or more years of increasingly responsible experience in non-profit administration. This is an 
exceptional opportunity to help lead the creation of a new cultural landmark.  Bachelor's degree
