I can't think of a written source off hand, but you might consider
contacting Dave Weiner at American Broadcloth (Massachusetts) or Rex
Reddick at Crazy Crow Indian Trading Post (Texas) for some ideas. Both
companies manufacture "rainbow selvedge" cloth (the type you are referring
to).

Best of luck. If you do find a written source, please let me know.

Listeros:

Does anyone have a good source for the dating of wool trade cloth
(stroud), particularly the introduction of the multi-colored selvedges
(not just "wide white saved edge").

Also, a dating for the introduction of colored "fluffy" feathers in the
Indian trade?

Thanks in Advance.
