CURATOR OF EDUCATION:  The University of Arizona's Center for
Creative Photography, a leading museum for twentieth-century
photography, seeks a Curator of Education.  As part of its
education and service mandate, the Center provides programs that
serve the University community, scholars and specialists,
regional K-12 teachers and their students, and the general
population.  The Center is part of the University of Arizona
Library's Research Archives, Museums and Special Collections
Team.

In close coordination with other staff, this position:
facilitates, plans, directs, writes, and evaluates programs that
interpret the Center's photograph collection through management
of the print viewing room; serves as principal liaison to
University faculty, regional teachers; and assists in the hiring,
training, and supervision of gallery monitors.

REQUIRED:  A master's degree in the arts, museum studies or
education-related discipline; substantial knowledge of the
history of photography, the history of art, and contemporary art; a
thorough knowledge of current museum and art educational philosophies
and practices and experience implementing educational programs for
university students, K-12, and adult populations; considerable
knowledge of museum collection practices and procedure; knowledge of
handling art objects; outstanding communications skills.  Ability to
participate in scholarship and professional activities.

SALARY:  $30,000 to $37,448 dependent on rank and years of
experience.  This is a year-to-year position.
