dear listserve folks,
a
in order to prepare an neh consultation grant regarding the
interpretation of water and forestry conservation issues at the pardee
home museum, i am interested in learning of any permanent exhibits on
conservation history that might serve as models for us here. i have
enlisted the help of curators at such obvious sites as grey towers,
gifford pinchot's home in pennsylvania, sagamore hill, tr's new york
home, and the marsh-billings-rockefeller park in vermont. but what i
really need to know is....can anyone think of important conservation
history exhibits in the western united states, preferably associated
with the historic home of a conservationist (besides the john muir house
in martinez, which i know well). please let me know if you can think of
such sites.

thanks, david nicolai, director, pardee home museum, oakland, california
