I agree with the previous posts.  This is a situation I have been in
more often than I would like to admit.  You would love to shout to the
world: "Don't buy this, it's fake!" because you see people
(potentially) being taken advantage of and you feel you should *do*
something about it.  Unfortunately, there is really nothing you can do
without risking serious legal repercussions for yourself or your
institution.  Sorry.
