I agree with many of the responses so far; I see Museum-L as a place to
remain current in areas of the museum world that I may not come into
contact with on a daily basis - it's a great educational forum!

A technique that I've used to keep the volume manageable - and this will
differ depending on how your e-mail system is set up - is to  have all the
Museum-L postings go directly to a "folder" separate from my regular
work related mailbox.  In this way I can choose when to focus on my
Museum-L messages - often during lunch or before I dive into the day's
work.
