I agree with Richard Finkelstein in general.

If a museum's quarterly journal is a valuable and original educational
medium, the job is to disseminate it as broadly as possible as part of the
museum's outreach.

If it's a coffee table piece, an item of prestige around the home (as many
museum periodicals tend to be) why waste it on the internet?  It belongs to
the members.

If it's a fundraising tool, it probably wouldn't be of any help on the net.
