Are there any definitive study results on the choice between using small
laser pointing devices instead of standard flashlights in a dimly lit
painting gallery of a museum?  I have see the docents at Wintethur (sp
sorry) using flashlights and cannot remember if they said that lasers were
not proven safe for their artifacts...
