For those who are not Quaternary paleo types, distributions of many of the
Late Quaternary mammals can be found at the Faunmap site
http://www.museum.state.il.us/research/faunmap/

It's not perfect and based primarily on published records (it doesn't show,
for example, any records of Castoroides for New Jersey, though the
distribution pattern clearly shows that it should have been there), but a very
useful resource.
