Good morning all: I am speaking speakers on various aspects of American
Victorian decorative arts for a symposium next spring...let's put it this
way, I have ideas but I don't know anyone who has expertise in these topics.
Potential topics might include transferware/Staffordshire for the American
market (Victorian, though, not the earlier stuff); Empire furniture; Berlin
work; Currier & Ives; and mid 19th century American genre painting . The
symposium will be in conjunction with an upcoming exhibition, Pennsylvania
Germans and The Victorian Taste.
Looking for mid Atlantic folks specifically as we have limited travel funds.
Thanks everyone!
