Another resource that I haven't seen mentioned is a wonderful book called "Moving the 
Mountain."  It was written by the staff of the Science Museum of Minnesota and 
information on ordering can be found at 
http://www.smm.org/research/Collections/CollMove.php .  

Having moved my collection last summer...good luck! :-)
