     THE ASTC OFFICES WERE CLOSED APRIL 14-20 DUE TO DAMAGE

     Last Tuesday, April 14, the Association of Science-Technology
     Centers' (ASTC) offices suffered water damage resulting, in part,
     in severe computer systems failure, including email.

     While we are still recovering from the damage, email has been
     restored. Please resend any email addressed to anyone in the ASTC
     domain (astc.org) between April 13 and April 21 1998.

     Specialty lists hosted on lists.astc.org will be restored shortly.

     No physical mail recently submitted was damaged due to this event.


     ASTC staff will respond to you as quickly as the situation allows.
