I've been involved with disability issues online for
the last 12 years, well before my knees went south,
but with a family and personal history of depression
(which is not a shame to admit but rather a shame not
to admit and get treatment therefor) and the gift of
ADHD. I have not kept up-to-date on all the nuances of
the ADA given some of the recent rulings by the
Supremes (as in Alito et al). But I know there are
some exemptionsfor historic buildings.

Here is one of two gifts I can offer the group. In
the cc line is a dear friend and one of the best ADA
consultants of whom I am aware. Those with issues
about the ADA may wish to email Cliff Payne of
ADAConsultants.com and see if, perhaps, a consultation
can be arranged or if he can refer you to someone in
your area. Cliff is in Pittsburgh.

The second gift is the name of an attorney in the
matter. However, she lost her spouse over the
holidays (he broke his arm, which formed an embolism,
and it was a now you see him, now you don't kind of
thing). We are giving her time to mourn before
bothering her, but if there were a really good
challenge, I might be inclined to pass the info along
for her review. Cliff could also do same.

I'm going to be out of commission Monday the 14th
through Tuesday the 29th. So if you have questions,
they may have to wait.

Hope this helps. Cliff, if my dear friends in the
museum world come calling, please give them the
appropriate guidance.
