I'm redoing the labels in our exhibit on local industries and may as well
update as needed. Without succumbing to the PC Police (who took lessons
from the Rococco French fad of la pr'esiosit'e?), I would like to know what
a manhole cover is called these days. You know, one of those cast iron
thingies that keep cars from falling through the street. The best I could
come up with is "utility access cover." Everyone I've asked just says to
call it a manhole cover, but I _am_ seriously wondering if there is a less
gender-specific term. I suppose I should check Chenhall ;).
