I work part-time for a small Jewish museum that is entirely privately funded.
Suffice to say that it is a teriffic struggle financially. We have a building
that is in a historic house, but isn't really a historic house museum, i.e.
we don't use the building as a centerpiece of interpretation. We have nine
staff members, 1 full time, 4 three quarters time, and 4 half time, plus
contract help when needed.
