Thanks!  I was just about to begin searching for an appropriate "personal
anecdote" to share with my introductory folklore class to illustrate how
the form characterizes individuals.  I'm tired of using my old examples
which relate to Harry Truman and Winston Churchill.  This story fits the
bill perfectly.
