Well, actually, "Oriental" traditionally included anything east of
Europe.
 
Best solution, of course, is to label it by country or culture.
Both "Oriental" and "Asian" are a little less meaningful than
"European."  Not an entirely worthless label, but not indicative of
the variety of cultures/styles within the large group.  Yes, I'd
agree--"East Asian" for Chinese/Japanese/Korean (an obvious parallel
would be "Northern European").
