J.Goodsell,
The nature center in my local community has an interesting display of
sounds you can hear at night in the woods. You walk into a small very
dark room and as you do you trigger a recording. As you stand in the
dark room a voice begins to talk to you. It tells you to listen to
specific sounds then a small light comes on and shows you the animal in
a display you are standing in front of. For the most part, you can't
really see anything until one of the lights come on in the display.
The display itself is a complete forest ecosystem including animals
that only come out at night. The effect of the display is that
standing in the dark small room and listening to the night noises you
really feel like you are in the dark woods. The sounds are the same
creepy night sounds you always hear in the woods but then a little
light comes on and shows you the animal and shows you what really goes
bump in the night.

p.s. The sounds are in suround sound
