The equipment you need will be determined buy what you need to lift and
how much storage space you have.  In the ITLL at the University of
Colorado, we have a specially build storage rack made by Unistrut.  These
racks hold 3' by 2' cart tops which we move in and out of the racks with a
standard forklift (Big Joe)  We only have two small storage spaces so we
couldn't use a "drivable" forklift.  Instead, we position the lift
manually.  This system works great for us.
