Michael, Stephen et al:

It is not commonly known that there are internet browsers designed for the
hearing and visually impaired, and in order to enable these users to fully
access your museum's website, you'll want to be sure that it is properly
designed. It is required by the ADA that websites intended for the general
public (interpreted as a place of public accommodation) be accessible to
those with disabilities. This is a relatively new area as far as the law is
concerned and there has not been a great deal of case law built up around
it, but it is surely in everyone's best interest to keep ahead of the curve
and include those with disabilities. Further information can be found on the
HTML Writer's Guild website at http://www.hwg.org

While there are limitations to what the web can do for the blind and deaf,
there are ways to increase their enjoyment of your site. And I'm sure it is
very frustrating for them to come across sites that do not work with their
equipment.

Sincerely,
Matt Wittemann
