Assistant Director of Meetings

The American Association of Museums seeks a qualified candidate for a
high level of responsibility in its meetings and professional education
department.  Applicant must be able to handle multiple tasks
simultaneously.  Applicant must be responsible for overseeing the
logistics and budget of an annual convention and several other
professional education seminars.  Advanced contract negotiations
experience required as well as extensive experience with budget planning
and management, strong expository and creative writing skills, marketing
exp., and attention to numerous details in planning and on-site
coordination of meetings is required.  Qualified candidate must have a
bachelors degree, 7 years experience in association meetings and
conferences, knowledge of the museum field, and strong written and oral
