Unfortunately, I have not been able to get a single opponent (except for one
who was not really an opponent in philosophy, but only one at the time
because of the position he held) to agree to an interview, or even to get
contact information for them.

I would like to present a balanced view, but I'm not getting one to work
with (99% of the written material I have access to is from the pro camp as
well). I am doing my best to read between the lines, however.

I did not choose the subject matter, or I suspect I would be going about
this in an entirely different manner.

But my main question was more -- how do I present a balanced (or as balanced
as I can manage, given the circumstances) viewpoint on what is still
obviously a rather divisive issue without losing support for the Society
from either side? Or is that a pipe dream?
