As a native of the Upper Midwest I can assure you that bringing your coat
would be in good form. The Weather Channel yesterday showed a snow line
crossing about mid-state, around Brainerd. That means that north of the
line there was snow. The vacinity of the line itself represents rail/snow
mix. South of there was a mite chilly. A low pressure system is bringing
NW Canadian winds across the state, and the system doesn't appear to be
moving too fast, although it appears the snow has moved on. These slow
moving midwestern low pressure systems can also bring rain showers. At any
rate, you can bet on needing a coat for daytime, not to mention evening.

When AAM was in Chicago during the first week of May, 1990 I was living in
Milwaukee at the time. The morning I left for the conference, my Milwaukee
backyard had 2 inches of snow on the ground and still falling. It durn
sure can happen.
