The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is advertising for a Visual
Information Specialist (Graphics) to design graphic panels and related
visual materials for exhibitions at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, which
will house 200 aircraft, more than 100 spacecraft, and thousands of other
artifacts.  Incumbent will participate in all phases of the design process,
from concept through final production.  Candidates must have:
1. Skill in designing interpretive graphic panels for presentation in
museum exhibitions; 2. Skill in the use of computerized design systems such
as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark Xpress.  This is a federal
position, grade 9 with promotion potential to the 11--$38,406-$49,924.  For
