Windows machines read Windows, Mac machines
read Windows and Mac. I routinely format CD's
in ISO 9660 for both platforms. I would
differ from the previous advice about
scanning resolution. I would scan at 300 dpi
and save as hi-res JPEGs. Nothing is worse
than having a grainy print that one can't see
detail within. There are share or freeware
programs that will do a save as from high to
low res if one wants to download onto the
computer from CD. Better to have high res and
not need it. Actually, 300 dpi isn't exactly
hi res. I have scanned artifacts directly on
the scanner covered by a sheet of white paper
at 1200 dpi on my $200 scanner and get
wonderful 3D effects which can be blown up
for detail if needed.
