To reiterate the other comments stating "never never throw away your
collections records".....let me say NEVER throw them away!  Not even
catalog cards!  We have had periods of time here when our system was down
for extended periods.  Without the hard copy records we would have been
dead in the water.  Another question to address is do you continue to
generate paper records (I speak specifically of catalog cards) after you
move to a database?  We do not,  and it worries me at times.
