I'm new to the list. I am currently an english professor who teaches
literature,film/video, and other visual arts. in the course of teaching i
discovered that i am much more interested in the visual arts--i've written
on kara walker and michael ray charles, i plan to write on ellen gallagher
and allison saar (among others). i have worked on curating one show and i
am very interested in becoming more involved with the visual arts--curating,
maybe museum education.

i've considered the goldsmith college creative curating course and i've
thought about web design and working on museum or gallery or performance
space web pages. what i'm really looking for are suggestions. i have a phd
in english language and literature with specializations in 19th and 20th
century african american lit, and contemporary multi-ethnic literature.

ideally i'd like to be able to teach and curate. i'm just not certain how
to proceed.

i'd really appreciate all advice.

thank you
