I have a question that may be considered a bit off topic: years ago, someone used the following quote as part of their signature on this list and I wonder if anyone could give me a bit more information about it? (I am a conservator and the editor of the newsletter of our local conservation guild and am interested in collecting the odd quote regarding preservation or conservation).

"In the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught" Baba Dioum, Senegalese Conservationist, 18th c.

Thank you for any info,
