The Maryland Science Center has just launched a nationwide tour for its
newest traveling exhibit - BEYOND NUMBERS.

BEYOND NUMBERS is a highly interactive, 5000 sq foot traveling exhibit
on mathematics with over 45 hands-on units.
This is NOT the math you learned (and hated) in school!
Beyond Numbers presents math that is friendly, accessible, relevant, and
FUN.
It blends puzzles, art, science, culture, and real-life applications,
and gives visitors a look at modern mathematics that's "beyond numbers".

The exhibit is now at it's first touring location - Inventure Place in
Akron, OH.
From there it goes to NY Hall of Science this spring, and then to
Science Central for the summer.
Venues are available through 2001. The rental fee is $65,000 for 3
months.
