Kirstin,

I would also recommend contacting Vicki Ziegler at Penn State-- I believe
she runs the AT&T Medieval Gardens (what a very contradictory title..). Not
being an expert on garden practices, I don't know how much later medieval
gardens would've differed from the early colonial ones established in North
America, but it might be a valuable resource to turn you on to other
sources if the gardens there don't seem to be a contemporary enough to
the Coffin house.
