We too are a city owned faciltiy staffed by civil servants. We control our
site first through our mission statement which has as its first item to
preserve Sloss Furnaces as a National Historic Landmark. The second way we
control the site is to manage all projects (decorative, development, and
preservation related), in-house. While this makes more work for us, it
takes the burden off of city hall, much to everyone's relief downtown, and
they let us make our own decisions.
