We have a draft list of fees for loans.  It is planned that fees will vary
acording to the type of collection the borrower (or should I say "hirer")
wishes to access.  Non collection items such as mannequins, wobbly mirrors,
circus banners and other exhibition equippment have different charges to
collection objects.

There are also copying fees and research fees within the Libarary and
Research Department of the Museum.

The fees will go into the general museum fund.  I am trying to get them fed
back into collections management.  Museum insititutions are exempt from
these fees; they are really for commercial organisations wanting dressing
for a conference/ displays for a function etc.  Anyone in Melbourne going to
"Smokey Joe's Cafe", please note the display in the dress circle foyer!
