The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, a state agency located in
Williamsburg is recruiting for qualified individuals to provide outreach
and other educational programs in classrooms throughout the
Commonwealth.  Positions needed are listed below:

2 - Museum Teachers, History Education Coordinator - Positions: W5032A &
W5026B
  Salary: $12.44 per hour - part-time, # of hours vary
  Williamsburg Area
   Closes out 5:00 p.m., July 21, 2000


Museum Teacher, History Education Coordinator - Position: W5033A
  Salary: $13.60 per hour - part-time, # of hours vary
   Northern Virginia Area
   Closes out 5:00 p.m., July 21, 2000


Museum Teacher, History Education Coordinator - Position: 00003
  Salary 25,774 - $26,948 with full state benefit package, full-time
10-month position
  Northern Virginia Area
  Closes out 5:00 p.m., July 26, 2000


TO QUALIFY: Knowledge of objectives, curricula, and operation of school
system and other educational institutions, adult training, education and
evaluation methods; promotional strategies.  Ability to communicate both
orally and in writing; supervise paid and volunteer staff; devise and
carry out educational programs, including he preparation and use of
publications and exhibitions.  Knowledge of museum education techniques
and resources preferred.  Demonstrated ability to work with all levels
of professionals, management staff, general public, and volunteers.
Teaching experience at a variety of levels and curriculum development
imperative.  Graduate degree in history, museum studies, or education
preferred.  POSITION REQUIRES OVERNIGHT TRAVEL.  To apply submit state
