We are in the process of adding one component to our Outdoor Discovery
Science area at our children's museum.  Does anyone have ideas for a
successful, safe, and durable exhibit component that can withstand Oregon
rain and endure use by the toughest 2 to 12 year olds west of the Rockies?
We would like a component that does not require a staff or volunteer
supervisor for regular use.

All ideas are welcome.  We are trying to stay under $6,000 for this
component.  One idea that is on our brainstorming list is an angular
momentum spin platform.  Does anyone out there care to relate the good and
bad points of this type of component?  If you have one, do you staff it or
let the visitors do it by themselves?
