**  Artefacts From Titanic's Rescue Ship, Carpathia, to Make World Debut

The Seoul-based National Museum of the Republic of Korea is holding an 
exhibition on Vietnamese ancient earthenware, the first ever hosted by the 
museum on ancient pottery from a Southeast Asian nation

**  A Sweet Life - Fashion in a Liverpool Sugar Merchant's Family
The family were originally Dutch sugar merchants who steeled in Liverpool in 
1813 and went on to amass a sizable fortune importing sugar, molasses,

**  Secretary Tells Panel Museums Are Safe
In response to criticism of the handling of asbestos in Smithsonian 
Institution buildings, Secretary G. Wayne Clough has told a congressional 
panel he had ordered free health screenings for all employees and a

display Friday, including early maps and the only report of the purchase of 
Manhattan by Europeans
