well, the museum world has gotten much more business-driven, as many
know. "unlisted" obviously proves this...

Seem some are making this a "nasty" place to be for "museum
professionals," when in
fact---it is the RIGHT place to be. An excellent place to research,
work with peers,
find information, etc.

I clap for the technology we have *- that allows us to work with our
peers in our office
or homes. I use this both at the OFFICE and at HOME. And any "boss"
out searching for
employees using this site...have way to much time on their hands.
Employers should
praise employees who have the means to grab information quick and from
other professionals,
and I would be more concerned with employees sitting around making cuts
at "professionals"
doing their job. (BIG smile!). In fact, some employers provide
computers, internet, etc., so
we can do this---and reach the public.

A museum professional is *- someone who needs a GOOD sense of humor and
not be a
wet noodle over every serious thing.

A museum professional *- using Museum-List---is a "good thing".

You might be...builds community? please. it's affirming what? that you
have too much time on your hands?
remember this is all public and searchable online
for all your employers.

Oh, don't be a poop! This is the best thread on this list in a long
time. It's affirming, fun, and builds community among our members.

And to answer your question. You might be a museum professional if you
have raised time and resource management to an art form!
