The Stephen Phillips Trust House, a Federal-style house museum in Salem, is accepting applications for a part-time museum interpreter. The Phillips House preserves five generations of the Phillips family collection, with a special emphasis on Salem's history and the social history of the early 20th century. The museum is open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend to the end of October. 
Job Description
·     Give tours of historic house to individuals and groups.
·     Work behind-the-scenes caring for collections, cleaning, light gardening, cataloguing and/or research.
Requirements
·     An interest in history and decorative arts.
·     Good people skills.
Benefits
·     Job training: learn about Salem's history, decorative arts, how to handle and care for historic artifacts, and how to teach public history.
·     Work in an interesting and positive environment.
Hours and Duration
·     Now until the end of October.
·     2-4 days/week, weekdays only.
·     Full days preferred (9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.), half days available. 
Rate  
·     Starts at $8/hour
