>the correct plural of compendium, Ms. Larkin, is compendia!

Evidently, this is a common error .. I just searched on Google.com for
"compendiums" .. 10,100 hits .. then I tried "compendia" .. 19,200 hits ..
not a shining endorsement for the grammatical sophistication of the public
at large .. although I wonder if there are regional differances that may be
at work .. (along the lines of potato vs. potatoe .. programme vs program)

>Thank you for that rant. Don't worry, I understand that Ms. Larkin is not
>part of the Museum-L listserv and intend to track her down and educate her!

I would be happy to sleuth out her email for you .. (it is available on the
Lancet site, however it does require registration to access)
