The Ontario Museum Association invites candidates to apply for the
position of:

Executive Director

The Ontario Museum Association is a non-profit organization, providing
services to individual and institutional members in the heritage sector.

Reporting to its membership-elected governing Council, the specific
duties of the Executive Director will undertake the following specific
duties: developing and analyzing public policy; developing and
implementing fund-raising strategies, including broadening of the
revenue and membership base of the organization; creating working
partnerships and exchanging information with other organizations in both
the private and public sectors; liaising with provincial and federal
government agencies on behalf of the membership; managing the day-to-day
operations of the organization's Secretariat, including its core
programs and special projects; evaluating the Association's services;
preparing grant applications and representing the Association to its
members and the public.

The successful candidate will be a creative problem-solver, resourceful,
very business-minded and an excellent communicator with proven
administrative, leadership and management skills. This person will also
have previous experience as an Executive Director of a non-profit
organization or relevant experience in a corporate environment and a
working knowledge of the needs of the Ontario and Canadian museum
community. Must be willing to travel.

Salary range: $42,000 to $45,000 (possibility of an incentive program).
