Online registration for the VRD 2005 Conference is now open! This year's
conference will be held on November 14-15, 2005 in San Francisco, CA, and
the early bird registration rates will be accepted until October 22, 2005.
Please note that there are further reduced rates for students, and OCLC

This year's keynote address will be given by noted speaker and author Gary
E. Strong. Mr. Strong is the university librarian at UCLA, and the winner
of numerous awards for his contributions to international librarianship. 

Registration for the VRD 2005 pre-conference workshop is also available
through the online registration form. This year's pre-conference workshop,
"Marketing Strategies for Digital Reference Services: Practical
Approaches", will be presented by Pat Wagner of Pattern Research, Inc. For
