Museums Australia (Victoria) is currently advertising for a Manager of the
Museum Accreditation Program (MAP). The MAP provides a structured tool for
developing standards in public and private museums and galleries in
Victoria. This position will manage MAP, working closely with the MAP
committee. The program is at an exciting stage of development with a large
number of museums preparing for on-site assesement and drawing on feedback
and assistance through MA (Victoria)'s advisory services and peer
assessement panels.

The role includes representing MAP in a range of advocacy contexts at state
and national levels, particular;y in the areas of tourism and local
government. The position is currently Four days per week, based at the MA
(Vic) office at 222 Exhibition St, Melbourne. Some out of hours work and
travel will be required. The successful applicant is expected to start in
mid June. The Salary is $35,000pa pro rata.

Strong communication skills and program management experience are required,
along with a background in the museum industry. Enquiries for further
