Regarding the photo question once more, if a museum hires someone
under the term "work for hire," or the individual is employed by
the museum full-time, then the copyright issue gets vague. I say
vague because arts law always favors the creator of the image, no
matter who possesses the film. If you wish to own the copyright
to images taken by a photographer, secure those copyrights through
a contract drawn up by an attorney--then it is a done
deal--there is no other sure way. The American Law Institute
sponsors wonderful workshops on copyright and other important
museum issues--ALI-ABA (American Law Institute - American Bar
Association) holds conferences all the time--they are pricy, but
    well worth it.
