How about a compromise between the "wonders of the internet" and
the ability to reach those who cannot afford the hardware needed
to access www or other special features.
The Collectons & Marine Information Data Bases of the Marine
Museum of the Great Lakes in online in the Queen's University
library system. It is available to those who walk in off the street,
to others in other universities and through the courtesy of the
university it also on the internet - where by the way it has attracted
"others" to make use of our library/archive resources.
