Starting today the Museum Security Network has it's own domain name
and is accessible via http://museum-security.org/ This server is
located in the USA. The *old* address http://www.xs4all.nl/~securma/
located in Europe will stay accessible as well.
Since we started our endeavor two weeks ago the mailinglist has some
fifty subscribers. This far the list is a moderated list. We consider
to make it an automated majordomo list. The ftp server
(ftp.museum-security.org) offers the possibility to upload
additional files via anonymous log in.
The website is devoted to all aspects of cultural property
protection, museum and library security and safety.
We hope that all museum and library professionals are willing to contribute to
this site. The Museum Security Network is a new and growing
not-for-profit endeavor. We hope the site to become an interactive
source of information. All services offered will remain free for
everyone interested. The only *payment* we desire is an active
participation by visitors of our site.
