JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Job Title:                      CHANGING EXHIBITION COORDINATOR

Brief Job Description:  Explorit Science Center is a regional non-profit
organization. Explorit installs changing exhibitions every eight weeks into
its exhibition hall (approximately 700-800 square feet). Responsible for
the hands-on science exhibition programs.  In cooperation with the
Executive Director and Program Director, directs and is personally involved
in all planning, design, development, fabrication, and maintenance of
changing exhibits.  Ensures that exhibits are scientifically sound and
reflect the Science Center's mission, philosophy and style.  Plans and
operates within budgeted constraints.

Desired Qualifications: 1) A broad science background, including
familiarity with general biological and physical sciences.

2) Ability to effectively research scientific topics, compile information
from experts, organizations, and resources, and present scientific concepts
throug hands-on exhibits to people of diverse ages and backgrounds.

3) Evidence of creative, aesthetic talents and basic mechanical know-how.

4) Strong written and verbal communication skills.

5) Excellent time management and organizational skills.

6) Museum or education-related experience.

Hours:                  25 hrs/wk.
